The heart of the cottage is the spacious living area, where you can curl up on the comfortable sofa in front of the electric fireplace on cooler evenings. For rainy days, a 4K TV with Apple TV provides endless entertainment. The fully-equipped kitchen is a highlight, praised by guests as being even better than the photos. It has everything you need to prepare a proper home-cooked meal, essential for a true retreat experience. The bedroom is a peaceful haven, designed for the perfect night's sleep. It features an 'insanely comfortable' king-sized bed complemented by a full 'pillow menu' to suit every preference—from cool, firm latex to soft, plush hotel-style pillows on the bed and high and low-profile pillows in the wardrobe. Every bed is made with fresh, high-quality linens, and the bathroom is stocked with lovely Sheridan towels. With the large window looking out over the rainforest, you can find your perfect comfort while falling asleep to the gentle, soothing sounds of the creek just meters away. But the feature everyone talks about is the unforgettable outdoor shower. It’s more than a shower; it’s an exhilarating experience. As one guest put it, "it would not be possible to shower closer to nature." It’s completely private and an absolute highlight of any stay.

A WARM WELCOME FOR PETS We genuinely love hosting your furry friends! To ensure the retreat remains pristine for all guests, we just ask you to follow a few house rules. FURNITURE: Please keep pets off beds and sofas. If you know your pet loves to cuddle, you must bring your own blankets to cover our furniture completely. CANE TOADS: As with any rural property in this area, cane toads may be present. Their poison is highly toxic to dogs. Please ensure your pet is supervised at all times and does not interact with any toads. RAT BAIT: We use pet-proof bait stations to manage rodents, which are a natural part of the ecosystem. While securely placed, it is still possible for a dog to find a poisoned rodent. We kindly ask that you keep an eye on your pet and contact a vet immediately if they show any signs of illness.CLEANLINESS: Please clean up after your pet, both inside and out. To avoid extra cleaning fees, please ensure pets are clean and dry before coming inside. SPECIAL OFFER FOR PET PARENTS We love seeing your pets enjoying their vacation! THE JOURNEY TO YOUR RETREAT Our beautiful, secluded location is part of the magic. The final stretch of the journey is on a classic unsealed hinterland road. It's well-maintained and suitable for any standard 2WD or 4WD vehicle, but we advise taking it slow to enjoy the scenery and navigate any bumps. Be aware that our local wildlife (wallabies and birds) are not car-savvy and can be unpredictable, so please drive with care, especially at dawn and dusk. CONNECTIVITY IN THE HINTERLAND To help you fully unwind, please note there is not much mobile phone reception in our valley. We highly recommend turning on your "Wi-Fi Calling" feature before you arrive; our fast Wi-Fi will then allow your phone to work seamlessly. Please have your driving directions loaded before you leave the nearest town. KEEPING YOUR SANCTUARY PERFECT To ensure the property is always at its best, our maintenance team may need to visit during your stay. This includes our gardener or lawn mowing person. Your privacy is their absolute priority. They are professional, discreet, and trained to work in a way that minimises any impact on your stay.

House Rules

We will send you a welcome guide link in your inbox. Keep your eye out for it! Many people love the place so much that they want to extend it at the very last minute. Normally, we are very happy to offer an extension, but please keep in mind that the cleaners will have planned their day and/or travelled a fair way to get to the property. So if you do extend, try to do it at least a few hours before check-out time. Please respect the neighbours, and do not make significant noise or play loud music between 10 pm and 8 am. No parties and no smoking indoors. If you lock yourself out of the property or you do not place keys on the dining table at checkout, an $80 fee may apply. If you lose a set of keys during your stay, a fee of up to $300 may apply. PET POLICY: Well-behaved pets are welcome! To ensure the comfort of all our guests and to maintain the quality of the property, we have a few simple rules for our four-legged guests: * Pets are not permitted on beds or sofas without your own pet blankets. If you know your pet loves to cuddle, you MUST bring pet blankets to cover our furniture completely. * Please clean up after your pet, both inside and outside the property. * Excessive Cleaning: We understand that adventures in the hinterland can get a little messy! However, please ensure your pet is clean and dry before entering the retreat to avoid excessive mess. An additional cleaning fee will be charged for removing evidence of pets from furniture, soiled linens (e.g., muddy paw prints), or excessive pet hair. Our additional cleaning fee is charged at $25 per half-hour.

Guest Access

You will have exclusive and uninterrupted access to the entire Creek House and its private deck. Being right on the water's edge, you are welcome to step outside and explore the beautiful, babbling creek that flows past your retreat. Our property is home to two separate retreats. To ensure absolute privacy for everyone, we kindly ask that you enjoy the Creek House and its immediate surroundings, and refrain from approaching the other dwelling (the Pool House). We ensure its guests do exactly the same, giving you complete peace and seclusion. For those wanting a longer walk or to explore further along the creek, there is an additional walking path on the property. You'll find the entrance to this path directly opposite the caravan. Parking is also provided for your convenience in the carport attached to the Creek House.

I was looking for somewhere secluded and to be inspired by nature to plan my 2026 business programs. I needed somewhere private, with wifi and where I could bring my best friend my Staffy Skye. It was very last min booking and I had all but given up on finding what I could imagine would exist, then there it was. The cabin ticked every box in my most favourite part of this country. Everything was just as advertised but there is something to be said for the energy of the land there, you cant capture in an AirBnB description. Jay and the team were also awesome! Everything was just perfect. I give this place 5 stars with slight hesitation. Only because the more people experience this slice of heaven the harder it will be for me get another booking here. Haha! Completely selfish I know. See you soon Jay! :)

We had such an amazing stay at the cabin. The beautiful creek running next to you and the sounds of nature and beautiful gardens. The outdoor shower is amazing and the bed was so comfy. The cabin was a perfect getaway for peace and quiet. Would absolutely go back. ☺️

Host extremely responsive, beautiful house set in woods by a stream with fun balcony over the stream and an al fresco shower which I had not encountered before. .It was inspiring to see someone's dream manifest My partner found the last part of the road required a lot of concentration as windy, steep and with potholes. The gardener, who had a 4wd, says he nips up and down no problem but I still think I would recommend arriving before dark

The cabin is located right on the creek’s edge and feels so secluded without being too far from the necessities. It’s the perfect balance of cozy yet spacious and rustic but modern. Jay and the team’s digital info book was such a great addition and the shower really is an experience! Absolutely would stay here again!

This place is really beautiful and peaceful. The outdoor shower is a wonderful experience and combined with the lovely space and incredible surroundings, you'll want to stay for while, if not forever! Jay was fantastic with communication and left us to it, supported but is digital guides and knowing we could reach out to him if we wanted or needed to. Will definitely be recommending this spot.
